LLNS to change custodians working hours

Please post anon

Well LLNS just can't seem to shake what they're known for. Making changes and doing it all for the wrong reasons. Looks like they have their heads up their rectums again. How many times has this happened since the take over on Oct 1, 2007? Someone please keep count. It may someday make it to the Guinness world book of records.

LLNS in their infamous wisdom is going to force all custodian to start work at 4:00AM disregarding the fact that some may be on rapid transit that doesn't run at those hours but who cares how much the cost of gasoline is, lets just put these poor people in a more financial hurt.

Hell, they make the big bucks, lets just screw the blue collar worker once more.

There can be only one motive LLNS has in mind. Let make them do something that'll get the FTE's custodians to quit their job so we can ( out source the task and get these people off the retirement system. ) I hope they all endure and no one leaves.

I wonder what classification LLNS will attack next. Maybe they'll do away with AWS and screw everyone at once.

Stand by, the title wave has just gotten started.

I have a better idea, letsmake the17 pages of ULM start time at 4:00AM and see how long that BS last. ----Idiots.---

I read this on the LANL blog. There is however a few problems at LLNL.

"We who lived in concentration camps can remember the men who walked through the huts comforting others, giving away their last piece of bread. They may have been few in number, but they offer sufficient proof that everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms -- to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way."

In times of uncertainty or disappointment, we all would be better off taking the approach that we are in charge of our own happiness, well being and contentment. If your stability is truly under the control of another human and can be thrashed or destroyed by administrative necessity or whim, there are bigger problems than just keeping your job.

I realize that our income and its associated economic stability are important and can be adversely affected by the employer, the governing agencies or the political leaders who are detached from the community but it still behooves each individual to determine where their real stability must come from - themselves - lest they become a languid maladapted dependent on a system that won't waste a moment's breath on them.

This is all very good but it's hard to soar with eagles when one has to fly with turkeys like LLNS. LLNS isn't motivational at all. They're view by the masses a group of over paid corporate arrogant concubines who brought with them a wrath of depression from day one. They're going to spend decades digging themselves out of thos hole.

Custodians in every private company I worked for always do their work before everyone gets to work. SO, starting at 4AM is nothing new. Welcome to the corporate world!

SO, LLNS management are idiots who most of the people at LLNL wish they never say. I wish them the worse.

custodians? what custodians? LLNS wacked all but 30; we now have 30 custodians to cover the whole lab; I was told they will be cleaning bath rooms only! so all you LLNS employees be ready to dump your own trash.

You have it all wrong. The ides here is to get "ALL" of you to quit and then LLNS can out source your jobs to a bunch of illegal aliens who will do it for 1/2 the pay. Most likely the contractors will be shipped in by a van pool, let lose at a specific locations where they'll aggressively attack the task at hand. At the end of the shift they'll jump back in the van and go home and have lunch. But, don't worry you're not alone. The same will go for gardeners and various other plant engineering jobs that have been abolished. This sage will continue until the people of LLNL have no more in common than anyone you may pass by at the mall.

Divide and conquer is a tactical ploy often used by ULM and in this case LLNS will reep the end results. Since we're cost cutting I'd say the new LLNS employees would be a good target. Anyone can do their job _for a lot less pay_. It doesn't take a brainiact to destroy a great organization and you surely don't need a PhD.

One more reason why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer

We get what we allow

I guess my question to all of you people is. How many of you are going to take the time to write your representatives and stop this BS? Again corporate America puts the burden on the tax payer / working classes back. It seems like a revolution is getting closer. I wonder how long it will be before the people up rise.
