Outsourcing of America

Is there any doubt in anyone's mine why America is no longer an industrial nation and how big business through greed and manipulation has ruined this country.

As I read Dilbert this morning I immediately envisioned the pointy haired dude as our new LLNS HR representative interviewing the next generation of LLNL employee. It seems their attitude is the same as every business in this country today. You are a replaceable commodity and will be replaced with a cheaper workforce where we'll get quality work and a complacent low paid employees that will eventually result in higher profits, bonus checks for management and many satisfied investors.

Each time I read the cartoon I envisioned an LLNS HR representative saying to the cone head icon that could in fact represent any nationality.

"You're the type of employee we need to make LLNL a success story. It's people like you that'll embrace change and are the future of this lab. However, we can only offer you a 401k that'll never be substantiality equivalent in the aggregate to the once lucrative UCRP retirement plan. The facts are this. With the wage we are offering and current IRS rules it's virtually impossible in todays recessionary environment to achieve your financial goals in order to secure a return substantial to sustain life within your employed life. Knowing these facts and understanding that you'll most likely have to work until you're 62- 65 years old when at that time you'll qualify for social security and medicare are you receptive to this offer? If so when would you like to start."

Retaining and attracting talent is an impossible task for LLNS, given rising costs and declining budgets.
Their job is to run the Lab with what they have, mediocre or otherwise.
Congress could have formed a committee, like they do for every crisis, and come up with how to improve the management of the Labs under UC.
They are the ones to blame for making the wrong decision!

I suspect the congress and the senate my in fact be the ones to blame simply because their pockets are lined by big businesses such as Bechtel Corporation and others. It's for reasons such as this our nation has gone to hell. What we have in Washington DC are those who are supposed to be for the people but in fact are solely for themselves. Until such acts are deemed punishable by death our country will continue to plunder towards a third nation.

Yes, the politicians made a promise to the people. The promise was, we'll all be equal. What they forgot to tell you was we'll all be equally poor, except for the elitists.

We're now three months into the transition and you're probably asking yourself why would Bechtel want to manage LLNL and LANL since the management fee is chump change to the corporate giant. I suspect the management fee wasn't the attraction. It was most likely the unspoken promises that were made under the table that guaranteed them billions of dollars profit in the future from contract yet to be awarded. Looks like something a good journalist could get their teeth into.

A good example of this is the United States involvement in Iraq. I'll assure you that our involvement has nothing to do with being humane. It's has everything to do with stabilization of the region to assure companies like Bechtel and Halabertan can yet again extend their tentacles into a low income work force that'll result in trillions of dollar profits for decades to come. For reasons such as this we'll never abolish our oil dependency nor will we ever get those in power to mandate the construction smog free energy resources that'll allow our nation to break the Arab grasp. Instead what we'll do is spend $11B a month fighting a war to assure the survival of companies like Bechtel and Halabertan that're nothing more than venomous snakes.

Now, if we could stop the corruption in Washington, DC and then spend $11B a month on building these alternative power plants in the desert of Nevada I'd be more than glad to foot the bill as long as the end results was to be total independent from any strong hold of any country.

However, as we sit and wait for common sense to arise we'll remain comatose as Bechtel and others continues to do what they do best. Use, abuse and dispose of people "at will" when their usefulness has expired.

the contract that is yet to be awarded is the one to build and manage the new weapons complex facility at NTS. This is one reason bechtel moved thier world head quarters to virgina.

That's a good place for it. Just don't take up all the land where the alternative energy power plants should have been built ( first ). Oh and how about spending the money on the power plants first instead of that crap you plan on storing there.

Do you know if the contract has been awarded and if so how many years will it take to build the complex and whose to manage it after it's functional. In the meantime people who are being laid off need jobs. Do you have any contact information for employment or specifics.

I know you people hate to read long lengthily documents but it's the only way you'll get the big picture. I suggest you read the document at the URL below entirely

Corporate America Greed

Have no doubt unless you stop this your life style will continue to diminish to the level of 1929 or worse and we may never recover. As it stands now China is slated to be the next industrial nation and once again rulers of the world all at your expense. Do you think that rich corporate companies are going to stop this or care about "YOU". Not a chance. They're in this for the money, where "THEY" get richer, live for today and to hell with tomorrow. "YOUR" future and welfare is not their concern.

Seasonal Menu

A cannibal was walking through the jungle and came upon a restaurant operated by a fellow cannibal. Feeling somewhat hungry, he sat down and looked over the menu...

+ Tourist: $5
+ Broiled Missionary: $10.00
+ Fried Explorer: $15.00
+ Baked or Grilled Politician: $100.00

The cannibal called the waiter over and asked, 'Why such a price difference for the Politician?' The cook replied, "Have you ever tried to clean one? They're so full of dung, it takes all morning.

Same goes for CEO and ULM

The idea my friend is to work you through your most productive years given false hopes of being successful and living a good life for you and your family. At the door step of each corporate headquarters is engraved in marble a motto.

" Work the populace for all they have to give, for minimal wages and benefits; then hope non live long enough to collect on our false promises."

So we're asking ourselves why the nuclear complex is being reduced if not totally annihilated whereby we've gone full circle in our thinking. After listening to the lecture from a previous post the answer is relatively simple.

Nuclear weapons today are viewed as a threat to the global economy and ability to make money for the rich corporation world wide, and in todays world money outranks morality many times over. Hail to the corporate giants of the world. You have sucessfully establish a one world order.

Do you have an address and contact name where one can apply for employement in NV during the construction phase of this facility. Do you know when the project is slated to begin or is it under construction? Where do we find information about this or apply for employment.

Right now, work at the NTS is dwindling. Any new construction as part of Complex Transformation won't be for at least five years.

No wonder it takes for ever to get anything done.
