More unemployment equates to more foreclosures and the quest for the much wanted CHANGE continues. The last newspaper article I read said the fun has just begun. Commercial properties are to start foreclosing at the end of 2012 whereby we'll see even more unemployment, more foreclosures, etc. No site of stating to recover until the end of 2014. It's all good.

Yes, I am thankful that I am not in the cross hairs of a layoff. And I bet LLNS is happy to hear that the Computer Programming / Support market is taking a downturn. That means less people at the lab in that field will leave and also if supply exceeds the demand, they should be cheaper to employ should the lab wish to do so after lay offs. A win win for LLNS.

Tis true. The banks didn't let their free market principles get in the way of slurping Fed money from a fire hose. Yet modifying mortgages terms, well hey, there's all that paperwork to do and they promise to get to it after the bonus parties.

We may all be grateful we have a job but that should not stop the employees of LLNL from telling it like it is on this blog nor does it make LLNS any nicer to work for. DOE and NNSA need to know what level of destruction they've brought upon this facility and understand why it'll never be the same. They also need to read all the entires and filter out those posted by butt sniffs verses those posting coming from people who're in tune with the real world instead living a lala land filled with political garbage and wishful thinking as if they worked in Disneyland.

The banks and the American tax payers owe you NOTHING, you signed on the dotted line for $XXX,XXX and YOU should be heard accountable for making the payment. If you miss one payment you should be thrown in the streets but only after they take you house, your cars, boats, bikes and any funds in the bank to pay what you owe and then your credit should be ruined for at least seven years to the point where not a single lender would talk to you. Oh and ALL of your credit cards should be canceled and not be able to get one for that same seven years. That's called being responsible for what you signed up for. I have no sympathy for freeloader parasite this new world order society seems to be full of. Can't wait until the games over and the rules change for the good instead of this liberal BS CHANGE some fools vote for.

The LANL blog has finally begun to be shut down with the declaration of victory for the NNSA and the LLCs. Employees have been told to get their news from the new LANL Performance Blog and from official lab news sites.

Isn't it time to begin thinking about shutting down this blog, too? It's clear that NNSA and LLNS have won the battle. Why continue any longer with this charade? It's a useless effort that amounts to nothing.

For those not interested in quiting.

The blog should never shut down. That's what DOE/LLNS and NNSA want. They don't want the truth of how they operate disclosed to the public or get out to any new hires that may be considering working for LLNL. It would be a crime to allow this place to become one big secret from society or the new work force. It's bad enough this blog is moderated and censored, we can't afford to lose this blog entirely.

Sorry Bud! This BLOG will continue to be moderated (not censored because I don't judge according to my beliefs but according to BLOG rules).
I removed the moderation for a couple of days last year: bad results!

"They don't want the truth of how they operate disclosed to the public or get out to any new hires that may be considering working for LLNL." - 8:40 PM

Note to 8:40: The public and the press (and Congress and Dr. Chu and many, many others) don't care about what is happening at LLNL and LANL. That's the bitter truth, but the sooner you accept that truth, the sooner you can get on with your career.

As far as new hires go, given this dreadful economy, the NNSA labs will likely have no problems hiring young, bright staff no matter how badly they decide to treat them.
