Enough is enough.

The purpose of this BLOG, as you know, is to allow people to express how they feel on topics that affect all of us. Over of the almost 4 years of its existence and especially since the LANL blog closure, I will be first one to admit that the comments have turned into bitterness and negative dwelling. It is one thing to express disagreement and give your opinion, it is another to chew the same thoughts over and over; for example, what good does it do me and others to know that Charlie (is that his first name?) Mc Millan lives in Livermore or Los Alamos? or that someone in ULM drives a Bentley?
Learn how to make real contributions to the BLOG or don't make any.
BY the same token, I would like to thanks all contributors who have kept contributing despite the "trolling".

Oh good grief, Maybe some people just need to VENT! What is your problem? This venue is all some folks have to express their frustration. SO WHAT! Are you too small to handle that? Then stop reading! It's a good thing the US tries to stop people like you from becoming rulers of nations!

Viva liberty and freedom of speech!

Yet whenever anyone else complains about the endless whining, Scooby tells them "don't let the door hit you." Curious reversal of attitude. Blog owners are weird.

As a long-time LLNL employee I used to read this blog a few years ago before it degenerated exactly as the post describes. It is too bad because the lab could use a mechanism for some constructive criticism and discussion from employees. It may be too late to get such people to come back to this blog, but perhaps the moderator could try to carve out some troll free comment zones for this.

Any concrete suggestions on how to do that?
To: June 30th 7:22PM:
I say "dont let the door hit in the ..." to anyone who is not happy with this blog whether they are whiny or not!
You know the typical wise guy that says something like "This Blog could use more xxxxxx" or this blog does not have enough yyyy.

No reversal of attitude here! I still have the same advise for those people.

Now, because I am urging people to stop being stuck in an endless bitter commenting on topics that are meaningless is equivalent to complaining?
Well if that is complaining, then I am doing it on behalf of dozens!
The people that complain about Charlie having a house Livermore are not talking doing it for the common good!

Thanks for keeping this blog alive.

I am still waiting for the corrupt management to be brought to justice, so I keep reading this blog hoping for some good news on this front.

Maybe someday, something positive will happen and one of them at least will end up in jail.

Hang in there Scooby. I really appreciate what you are doing! You are providing a service that LANS/LLNS cannot and will not provide: Communication.

I fail to see the usefulness of this post and comments. What has changed or will change? Ok, so Scooby gets a few complaints and a few kudos. What was the point? I mean besides shutting down comments on the entire blog for a few days.
